I have a three year old daughter. her name's Caitlin. She has muscles that are "so strong I could kill people." which, on pointing out that that wasn't actually very nice even if she didn't mean it, changed to "can crush bones" and then changed to "can pick up the exercise bike" which was much more acceptable. She has attitude with a capital A, (and let's throw in the other capitals as well!) She is fiercely competitive and will say "I NEED to win!" (Don't blame the parents, NONE of us are like this - she must be a throwback to another generation!) This is her I NEED to Win face. I have a very good friend who coaches High School Girls Soccer in the USA. She has adopted Caitlin's motto and now the team shout I NEED TO WIN before a game! Caitlin is changing the world!
This is her normal beautiful self!
(although her hair isn't quite this red - the photo didn't scan properly!)
She also gave her first talk in Primary on Sunday. She had most of it memorised and as she doesn't like doing stuff in front of people, or even if she's singing and I tell her it was lovely, she'll stop because she's so self conscious - so I wasn't sure she'd do it, but she did really really well.
Today her Primary teacher was away so Rachel stood in and taught her class. It was about families. The question was asked "Who looked after you when you were a baby?" The two others in her class said "Mummy".
Caitlin said in a really measured voice "I looked after myself!".
Thanks Cait!
